The big picture. Market data, perpetuals metrics, and top movers at a glance.
Market Regime
Enhanced 20-regime classification system
The Enhanced Market Regime synthesizes 5 data sources to produce rich, descriptive market labels. Unlike simple bull/bear classifications, this system generates 20 nuanced regimes that capture the full complexity of market conditions.
Sideways technical indicators with fearful sentiment — a potential reversal setup forming. Start accumulating quality assets.
5 DATA SOURCES
KEY REGIMES TO KNOW
The system classifies into 20 distinct regimes. Here are the most actionable ones:
Bullish technicals + fearful sentiment. Smart money buying while others panic. Prime contrarian long opportunity.
Bearish technicals + greedy sentiment. Smart money exiting while retail buys. Reduce exposure significantly.
Neutral technicals + fearful sentiment. Price stabilizing despite pessimism. Potential reversal up forming.
Bullish + BTC dominance falling. Capital rotating from BTC to altcoins. Focus on alts over BTC.
Strong bearish + extreme fear + narrow breadth. Peak panic selling. Often marks the bottom—patient buyers rewarded.
High dispersion + bearish. Extreme risk environment. Avoid new positions, tighten stops, wait for clarity.
Don't trade against the regime. Longs in bearish regimes and shorts in bullish regimes have poor risk/reward. Use regime for position sizing guidance, not as standalone signals. Best contrarian setups: Accumulation Zone (buy fear), Distribution Zone (sell greed), Capitulation (potential bottom).
Fear & Greed Index
Market sentiment gauge (0-100)
A composite score measuring market emotion. Combines volatility, momentum, social media sentiment, dominance, and trends. Ranges from 0 (Extreme Fear) to 100 (Extreme Greed).
Panic selling. Often a contrarian buying opportunity. "Be greedy when others are fearful."
FOMO and euphoria. Market may be overextended. Consider taking profits. "Be fearful when others are greedy."
Extreme readings (below 20 or above 80) often precede reversals. Use as a timing tool, not a trading signal alone.
Total Market Cap & Volume
Size and activity metrics
Total Market Cap
The combined value of all cryptocurrencies. A rising market cap indicates capital flowing into crypto; falling indicates capital leaving.
24H Volume
Total trading volume across all exchanges in the last 24 hours. High volume confirms price moves; low volume suggests weak conviction.
Compare volume to price action. Price up + volume down = weak rally. Price down + volume up = strong selling pressure.
Market Dominance
Market share breakdown
Shows what percentage of total crypto market cap each category holds. The distribution reveals where money is flowing.
BTC Dominance Rising
"Risk-off" behavior. Money rotating from altcoins to Bitcoin as a safer bet. Often seen during uncertainty.
BTC Dominance Falling
"Risk-on" behavior. Altcoin season potential. Money flowing into higher-risk assets for bigger gains.
High stablecoin dominance (>10%) signals "dry powder" - capital waiting on sidelines for better entries.
Trend Strength & Volatility
Momentum and risk indicators
Trend Strength (0-100)
Measures how strong the current trend is. Based on ADX (Average Directional Index) and momentum indicators.
Volatility
Current volatility vs historical average. Shows if the market is calm or turbulent. Affects position sizing decisions.
Low volatility periods often precede big moves. When volatility is LOW and trend strength is HIGH, a breakout may be imminent.
Market Sentiment
Bulls vs Bears ratio
Shows the percentage of tracked symbols that are in bullish vs bearish conditions based on technical indicators and price action.
Strong Bull (>80%)
Broad market participation in the rally. Good for momentum strategies but watch for exhaustion.
Strong Bear (<20%)
Widespread selling. Either capitulation (potential bottom) or start of extended downtrend.
Altcoin Season
Altcoin vs Bitcoin performance
Indicates whether altcoins are outperforming Bitcoin. When most altcoins beat BTC, we're in "altseason" - a period of speculative excess that often occurs late in bull markets.
Bitcoin leading. Alts underperforming. Normal market conditions.
Some alts starting to outperform. Early signs of rotation.
Most alts outperforming BTC. High speculation. Often precedes corrections.
Peak ALTSEASON often marks the top. When everyone is chasing small-cap pumps, smart money is exiting.
Perpetuals Pulse
Derivatives intelligence on the Market tab. Positioning, leverage, and smart money flows in the futures market.
Funding Rate
Cost of holding perpetual positions
Perpetual futures have no expiry, so funding rates keep their price aligned with spot. Every 8 hours, one side pays the other. The rate reveals market bias.
Longs pay shorts. More traders are long. Bullish sentiment but crowded.
Balanced market. No side dominant. Often healthy for continuation.
Shorts pay longs. More traders are short. Bearish sentiment or short squeeze setup.
Extremely high positive funding (>0.05%) often precedes dumps as longs get liquidated. Negative funding during a rally = healthy.
Long/Short Ratio
Trader positioning breakdown
Aggregated from multiple exchanges (Binance, Bybit, OKX). Shows the percentage of traders holding long vs short positions.
Longs Heavy (>60%)
Crowd is bullish. Contrarian indicator - if everyone is long, who's left to buy?
Shorts Heavy (>60%)
Crowd is bearish. Potential short squeeze if price rallies. Can fuel sharp upside moves.
Extreme positioning (>70% one side) often leads to reversals. The market tends to liquidate the majority.
Basis (Spot vs Futures)
Futures premium/discount
The difference between futures price and spot price. Reveals market expectations and arbitrage opportunities.
Futures trading ABOVE spot. Normal in bull markets. Traders willing to pay premium for leverage. Higher = more bullish expectation.
Futures trading BELOW spot. Rare and significant. Indicates heavy hedging or bearish positioning. Often seen at major bottoms.
Backwardation during a downtrend can signal capitulation. Smart money often accumulates when basis is deeply negative.
Open Interest & CEX/DEX
Leverage and venue distribution
Open Interest (OI)
Total value of outstanding perpetual contracts. Rising OI = new money entering. Falling OI = positions being closed.
CEX vs DEX Distribution
Shows where perpetual trading is happening. CEX = centralized exchanges. DEX = decentralized (dYdX, GMX, etc).
Rising DEX share indicates growing on-chain derivatives adoption.
Record high OI during a rally is a warning sign. It means maximum leverage in the system - ripe for a liquidation cascade.
Confluence & Alpha
Multi-factor analysis combining technical, volume, and order flow data into actionable insights.
Confluence Scores
Multi-factor signal strength
The heart of Virtuoso's analysis. Confluence scores combine technical indicators, volume analysis, order flow, and market structure into a single actionable score (-100 to +100).
+50 to +100
Strong bullish confluence. Multiple factors aligning. High probability long setup.
-50 to -100
Strong bearish confluence. Multiple factors aligning. High probability short setup.
-25 to +25
Neutral zone. Mixed signals. Wait for clearer confluence before acting.
Components
Trend, momentum, volume, volatility, order flow, support/resistance proximity.
Focus on scores above +60 or below -60 for highest conviction trades. The strongest moves come from extreme confluence.
Alpha Opportunities
High-conviction setups
Alpha opportunities are setups identified by extreme confluence conditions. They appear when multiple signals align simultaneously.
What Makes an Alpha?
Confluence score >70, volume confirmation, favorable funding, and clean market structure all aligning.
How to Use
Alpha opportunities are rare. When they appear, consider larger position sizing (within risk limits).
Alpha setups are quality over quantity. You might see 2-3 per week maximum. Patience is key.
Bitcoin Beta
Performance tracking relative to Bitcoin. Interactive charts and beta analysis across multiple timeframes.
Timeframe Selection
Choose your analysis window
Analyze altcoin performance against Bitcoin across multiple timeframes. Each reveals different opportunities.
Scalping
Day trade
Swing
Position
Daily
Use 4H for day trading (default) and 24H for swing trades. Higher timeframes give more reliable beta readings.
Performance Chart
Visualize relative performance
The chart shows all altcoins rebased to 0% at the start of the timeframe, making it easy to compare outperformers vs underperformers.
Above 0% Line
Coin is outperforming Bitcoin in the selected timeframe.
Below 0% Line
Coin is underperforming Bitcoin in the selected timeframe.

Understanding Beta
Altcoin correlation to BTC
Beta measures how much an altcoin moves relative to Bitcoin. A beta of 1.5 means the altcoin moves 1.5x as much as BTC.
Defensive. Moves less than BTC. Lower risk, lower reward.
Moves with BTC 1:1. Correlated but not amplified.
Aggressive. Moves 2x BTC. Higher gains AND losses.
In a confirmed BTC uptrend, high-beta alts supercharge returns. In downtrends, they devastate portfolios faster.
Beta Rankings
Sortable performance table
The rankings table shows beta coefficient, correlation (R²), and performance for each tracked symbol.
Look for high beta (>1.5) with high R² (>70%) for leverage plays when bullish on Bitcoin.
Live Signals
Real-time trading signals generated by the confluence engine with entry, target, and stop levels.
Signal Overview
Summary statistics at a glance
The Signal Overview card shows aggregate statistics: active long/short counts, win rate, and risk parameters (stop loss %, R:R ratio, expiry window).
Alerted Trade Signals
High-conviction signals that crossed the alert threshold
When a signal crosses the high-conviction threshold, it appears here and triggers an alert. These are the strongest setups identified by the system. Clicking an alerted signal in the Alerts tab will navigate you here.
High-conviction signals will appear here when detected
Alerted signals have crossed a strict confluence threshold. These are rarer but higher probability setups. Pay special attention when one appears.
Trade Ideas
Potential trades with caution
Trade Ideas are potential setups generated by the confluence engine. Each includes direction, entry zone, targets, and stop loss level. These are suggestions to evaluate, not open positions.
Trade Ideas are potential setups, not recommendations. LONG signals below 70 or SHORT signals above 30 carry higher risk. Always do your own analysis.
Trade Ideas are tools for analysis, not commands. Always use proper position sizing and risk management. Never risk more than 1-2% per trade.
Real-Time Alerts
Instant notifications for whale trades, liquidation cascades, regime changes, and trading signals.
Alert Filtering
Focus on what matters
Use the filter pills at the top of the Alerts tab to show only specific alert types.
During high volatility, filter to "Liquidations" to catch cascade events. In ranging markets, focus on "Whales" for accumulation signals.
Whale Trades
Large institutional orders
Alerts when unusually large orders are detected. These represent smart money moving in or out.
BUY Whales
Large buy orders = bullish pressure. Institutions accumulating or strong demand.
SELL Whales
Large sell orders = bearish pressure. Profit-taking or distribution phase.
Liquidation Cascades
Forced position closures
When leveraged positions get liquidated en masse, it creates explosive price moves.
SHORT Liquidations
Bullish. Shorts forced to buy back = upward pressure, potential short squeeze.
LONG Liquidations
Bearish. Longs forced to sell = downward pressure, potential cascade dump.
Liquidation cascades create extreme volatility. Wait for the dust to settle before entering new trades.
Regime Change Alerts
Market character shifts
When the market regime changes (trending → choppy, ranging → volatile), you'll get an alert to adjust your strategy.
Why It Matters
Different regimes require different strategies. A regime alert helps you avoid trading the wrong style.
Example
"BTCUSDT: TRENDING → CHOPPY" = Stop trend-following, switch to range or stay out.
